About Us: L.A. Horn Custom Log Homes

L.A. Horn Custom Log Homes is a family owned business based in the heart of the Hocking Hills, in Logan Ohio.  They design and build custom, hand crafted log homes.  They own several hundred acres of land in the Hocking Hills, in parcels from 2-20 acres.  All of our land is nestled in the heart of the Hocking Hills and is uniquely located within walking distance of the beautiful Hocking Hills State Forest. L.A. Horn is the developer and building contractor of the exclusive “Three Reasons Estates Log Home Subdivision”, that is currently under development.  We use a mix of old school craftsmanship and modern day techniques to construct the premium luxury log home.

Luke and Lynn Horn started their journey in the construction field in the early 1990’s.  They are the parents of three very highly skilled sons, Cameron, Kyle and Caden.  All three of their sons play a very active roll in all faceits of the business. They have constructed everything from the bridge at Conkle’s Hollow State park to the sidewalks in the city of Logan and surrounding villages. They have extensive experience in sewer/water installation and repairs, building pads for many local businesses and residences, and development of several hundred home sites, foundations, driveways, septic systems, and ponds through their excavating company.

L.A. Horn has many years of experience in the timber business. Luke is a “Master Craftsman”, as classified and certified by the State of Ohio. They have harvested many acres of Timber on state and private grounds.  They were Ohio loggers of the year in 2012 and regional logger of the year in 2013 for the eastern US. To add to their experience, they have owned a local sawmill that supplied man log home companies across the US with rough sawn pine. They also supplied many of the local log home builders in the Hocking Hills with their pine lumber which was used to construct many homes. Currently, they are in the process of relocating the mill-work and dry kiln business to a new building in the Hocking Hills.  At that location, they will manufacture the custom cabinetry, doors, trim and flooring which is used in the custom log homes.
